The scheme includes the construction of a single storey annex. Both are well under construction with the SIPS panels to the first floor. The site is surrounded by a mature and dense boundary of protected oak trees. The designs for the new house use the naturally steep gradient of the site to partially bury the ground floor into the bank. This design allows a tiered landscape around the building and gives the first-floor bedrooms access to the higher garden tier at the rear. The site was once part of a farm and livestock was kept on the land with historic maps showing a variety of small outbuildings. The designs take influence from this past use by utilising agricultural materials such as black stained timber and fair faced brick work. The flat roof
